Iran says it will respond to IAEA nuclear proposal next week
Iran will reply next week to a UN-drafted plan for it to cut a stockpile of nuclear fuel, Iranian state television quoted a senior official as saying on Friday.
Iran will respond next week to a UN-brokered deal aimed at third-party enrichment of uranium for a Tehran reactor, state-owned media reported on Friday, just hours before the UN deadline.
"Iran is precisely examining different dimensions of the contents of the proposed agreement about the provisional supply of fuel for the Tehran research reactor," Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran's envoy to the UN atomic watchdog, was quoted as saying on state television's website.
"After final evaluation, I will give the result to Mr. ElBaradei when I return to Vienna next week," he said referring to UN atomic watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei.
