General Kiyani for the first time criticized the US actions publicly

Last week, Pakistan for the first time accused Afghanistan-based troops of carrying out a direct attack on its territory, a raid in the South Waziristan tribal zone that left 15 people dead.
In a statement early Thursday, Pakistan’s army chief General Ashfaq Kayani strongly criticised the raids andinsisted there was no deal allowing foreign troops to conduct operations here.
“The sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country will be defended at all cost,” he added, and there was no “agreement or understanding with the coalition forces whereby they are allowed to conduct operations on our side of the border.”
He slammed the killing of civilians in South Waziristan, pointing out that such “reckless actions only help the militants and further fuel the militancy in the area

Kabul – Afghan President Hamid Karzaisaid Thursday he supported a new US strategy in the war against terror, which includes military operations inside Pakistan, andcalled for more international aid and training for his country’s security forces.
‘The new strategy is something that me and my colleagues in the Afghan government have talked about three and a half years ago,’ Karzai said at a press conference marking the seventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks for which the al-Qaeda terror network claimed responsibility.
